удаление определенного текста средствами java
 

Есть скрипт который выполняет цитирование на форуме, форум использует тег , вот собственно весь скрипт

Есть соответственно условие по которому выгребается весь контент предыдущего сообщения не зависимо от тегов в том числе со скрытым текстом при котором скрытый текст становится доступен

Каким образом можно реализовать функцию под которой находился бы текст в тегах [hide]... [/hide] и удалялся вместе с тегами.

Функцию вашу можно реализовать с использованием регулярных выражений и метода replace. Какие ещё проблемы?! Темы такого рода уже не раз тут поднимались...
