As a Web Application Developer you will be in charge of building the 2nd generation of our data collection engine. Substantial part of the data collection engine is a client-side web application that operates in user's browsers and transmits collected data to cloud based servers. Processing and analytics of the collected data and logs are also important part of the data collection project. Overall, it is an ambitious role, which will require managing software development, testing, deployment and most importantly live execution of the data collection applications.

Responsibilities:
Capturing video streams and other types of user data
Writing software using variety of different programming languages and technologies to work on elastic hardware configurations
Deploying software on a large scale through the cloud
Optimising performance for real-time scenarios
Creating tools to quickly analyse the impact of feature changes on usage
Defining projects’ operational KPIs and setting up a continuous and automated process of their measurement and monitoring
Guiding software development practices to continuously maximise KPIs
Requirements:
Solid knowledge of OOA/OOD and Cloud scaling principles
Experience in building highly scalable and high load web applications in the Cloud (primarily client-side, but good server-side understanding is desirable too)
Development of advanced client-side web applications (excellent JavaScript and HTTP knowledge is a must)
Able to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
Comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
Excellent grasp of automation tools, as well as data management, querying and analytics tools
Able to work with minimal supervision and frequently changing requirements
Cheerful and outgoing with great communication skills
Complimentary skills:
Experience with Amazon Web Services, such as Kinesis, EC2, S3 is a strong plus
Knowledge of C#/Java/Python, HTML5 (WebRTC), JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js, extJS, PrototypeJS, JQLite, Flash/Silverlight
Interest in functional languages such as Clojure or Scala
University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
