Что то хрому не нравится в методе который последняя библиотека jquery юзает

Потом я так понял от куда то шрифты тянутся да недотягиваются?

На это можно забивать? Первый пункт?

Можно. Или, если на старые браузеры побоку, юзать jquery 2.
В случае с Image и Font - да, вместо того что надо грузит 404.
